5 proven apps for practicing yoga at home

Several times I tried to practice yoga, because everyone says that yoga is good for body and soul. But I couldn’t do it on my own, I wasn’t motivated enough, and the courses were too expensive. Also I can’t always understand on video tutorials how to position my joints and how to breathe.

I decided to find a supplement and chose the best of them. Now I do not interrupt the classes. Try them, maybe you will like them too.

“Yoga 7”

The app is captivating in its simplicity, perfect for those taking their first steps in yoga. 4 complexes, filmed against a backdrop of beautiful views of Bali. The exercises are performed for 30 seconds with a 10-second break in between.

It’s great that the length of the classes in the app is 7 minutes each. The 7-minute system is used in high-intensity circuit training, which boosts metabolism, improves mood and reduces stress. Anyone can find that amount of time in a day.

For me, one of the biggest pluses was the motivation system. Each day of class earns a badge of a certain color. If you miss a class, all badges are lost. For 7 badges the next set becomes available.

«Down Dog»

This app delighted me with its aesthetics and convenience. You can choose the level of difficulty, the style of background music, the type of yoga, the pace of the class, and the duration of the shavasana. Shavasana is a resting pose at the end of the class, to relax the tremors in the muscles. Everything is very functional and possible to adjust to your individual routine and goal.

I especially liked the combination of musical accompaniment with the instructor’s slow calm voice. A definite plus is that you can control the amount of advice. I chose the most detailed comments for the correct performance of the poses.

The complexes are very diverse, asanas in which you have to concentrate as much as possible are interspersed with relaxing ones. The app is not boring at all, and I have never had any repetition of my workouts.

«YogaClub»

To log in to the app, you need to register by mail or via Apple ID, Facebook, or Vkontakte. When filling out personal information, you can choose to use two main profiles: student or instructor. The app is as packed as possible, with intensive courses, ready-made lessons, meditations and breathing, asanas and exercises.

The main pluses for me is that there are different programs for specific purposes and the ability to make your own individual set of your favorite asanas. You can read more about each asana, all written very informative.

The application was developed by Unagrande Company, and this is not advertising, the application is really very high quality. An added bonus is that it synchronizes with the Health app.

«Lotus Yoga»

The app will especially be appreciated by those who practice yoga to keep fit and flexible. It also has programs for meditation and relaxation, classes for moms, and cardio workouts.

I really like the design of the app. It’s nice to use a simple, beautiful and organic interface. A definite plus is the variety of instructors, their fitness is the main motivator here.

You can choose workouts for certain categories: weight loss, flexibility, sleep, strength. The main highlight is the fat-burning workout for the whole body, consisting of asanas.

«Nike Training»

The app is ideal for those who do yoga as a stretching activity rather than as their main physical activity. You can do an intensive workout on the app and use the yoga complex as a warm-up.

Several well-known yoga instructors participated in the creation of the app: Leah Kim, Tracy Copeland and Brenden Collinsworth. The programs vary in time and difficulty. Workouts range from 15 to 45 minutes based on three types of yoga.

Very pleased that you can use your own playlists from Apple Music as background music. And most importantly, there are absolutely no ads and built-in purchases.
